Maple-Glazed Chicken

This is a really easy way to spice up a plain chicken meal using items that you probably already have in your kitchen. This is a recipe from Taste Of Home's healthy eating cookbook.

These are the ingredients you will need for this recipe:

   - 4 Boneless skinless chicken breast halves

   -1/4 teaspoon salt

   -1/8 teaspoon pepper

   -  1 tablespoon canola oil

   -1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

   -1/2 cup apple cider

   -  2 tbsp maple syrup

   -1/2 teaspoon onioin powder

First action is to flatten and cook 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts halves either in the oven as directed by the packaging or by the recipe which calls for pan frying them using the Canola Oil and Salt & Pepper. I realized after pan frying a couple that baking the chicken probably would have been easier and better. I ended up having to use my oven to keep the already cooked chicken warm.

While the chicken is cooking or baking you can mix the other ingredients in the following order: Cornstarch and Cider, then Syrup and Onion Powder.

Now add the mixture a large pan, bring to a boil and then stir for a few minutes until the sauce is thicker. Place chicken in the pan and cover with the sauce.
