LilyPadz - Breastfeeding Must Have!

What is it? It is a reusable silicone nursing pad.

How does it work?  The lily pad shaped pad’s adhesive side is turned concave out, you put your index finger in the middle of the non-adhering side and press firmly against your nipple and then smooth out the rest of the pad against your skin.  You can clean it as much as you want but typically once a day is good enough.

Cool Features:  No leaks because your nipple is compressed, it’s breathable, you don’t have to wear a bra at night!  It is also not visible through clothing, you can wear a tank top, strapless shirt, and go swimming with them!

Environmental impact:  These cut down on the usage of disposable nursing pads.

Practical Point: When breastfeeding in public you can stick the pad to your chest while feeding on that side.

$$$ Savings: You will save money on purchasing disposable nursing pads.

Do I recommend it? Yes!

Quantity Recommended: One Pair for up to 2 months (according to manufacturer)

Age: Moms

As of Monday February 22, 2010 I am on my 15th day using the Lily Padz... and I love them!  The first few days the adhesive was really strong and kind of felt like ripping a bandaid off, but I got used to it and at the same time the adhesive mellows a bit.  I also thought that maybe I would only use these at night so I could sleep without a bra but they were so convenient and I’ve worn them all day, every day!  You can find more info on this product by going to www.simplylily.com!
